CLARISONIC MIA: The Review...

I've been waiting the moment to finally write about it! And Today is the perfect time...(well, actually I meant to wrote about it last week, but My work got in a way and I became super lazy...rrriiiggghtt haaha :P)

So! I wrote about the Clarisonic last month, and how I finally decided to get one and I did from SkinTerra.com (They have a great deal on it, think you should check the site). Anddddd...I got my 'Clarisonic Mia' after around 16 working days (you know International shipping sucks! grrr), Anyway I got it on December 1st, and has been using it religiously for a month now...so now I'm doing the review about it, woohoo! ;)

Here's My Week to Week Review....

- First Week: I've been using it 2 times a day, in the morning and at night for 1 minute (20 secs on the forehead, 20 secs on EACH cheeks, and 20 secs on the nose and shin area), The Result after using it: I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE THE RESULT!! Why??? From the very first time using it, I feel my skin super super cleaned! Just like the feeling when you finished your facial at the salon...NO KIDDING!! I have oily skin and acne prone skin...and it didn't broke my skin, I clean my face with my own cleansing gel (I don't use the one that comes in the box).

- Week 2:  I got breaks out pretty baaadddd...WHY??? It's because I'm having TOO much fun on using it, the manual says to clean the entire face for 1 MINUTE ONLY, and because I was soooo excited on the result, I added 1 more minute (just thought I might get better results on my face)...Then I ended up having a crazzzzyy break out on my chin area.

- Week 3:  Because of the breaks out, my skin got irritated...so I decreased the twice a day using to every other day (and I got back to 1 minute ONLY...and not 2 minutes, blah!). The Results: The Breaks out GONE GONE...and I starts to see the size of my visible pores on my cheeks are shrinking, and my old chicken pox and acne scars are finer...SUPER HAPPY! :)

- Week 4: Now I am back on using it 2 times a day, and so far my skin is fineee and loving it! I can feel the difference on cleaning up my face with the Clarisonic and without it. I can feel the skincare products that I'm using now absorbs better because my pores are clean and unclogged...I don't think I want to wash my face the old way again! hehehe ;)

PRO's:
- It's a MUST HAVES tool...If you love your skin so much, and spending too much getting a facial twice a month, you should saving up and get this! It's a GREAT INVEST! :)
- If you wear make up everyday but too lazy to wash your face like me! This is the good reason to get up in the morning to wash your face or at night after long day makeup...because using it is sooo easy and fun and you can feel the difference :).
- If you travel a lot, The Clarisonic Mia is the perfect size because its smaller than the Classic one (and, YES it's cheaper!).
- The Brush head must be replaced every 3-4 months, and you can choose the brush head based on your skin needs and conditions (Normal, Sensitive, or Delicate)

CON's:
- It's quite expensive compares to any similar tools...So I suggest you, If you're not sure or still in doubt, to read or google as many informations about it or watch the testimonial video on you tube before buying it (I did that too! :)).
- The Clarisonic Mia only has 1 speed, compares to the Classic one that has 2 speed and beeps (to remind you to move to every other area of your face). The Mia retail for $149 and The Classic one is $195...
- You can't Share using it with someone, it's because of this tool goes to your face, and just like your toothbrush, you need it to always hygienic 'n clean.

Will you gonna repurchase this product??
- YES, I might gonna get one for my mom on her birthday, OR I might want to get myself the Classic one for everyday use and save my Mia for travel purpose only :P

That was it MY OWN PERSONAL REVIEW on the product...Hope you like it!

HAPPY HOLIDAY EVERYBODY!!!!! XOXO ;)

Toothbrush for your face ;D

YES, after more than a year 'flick' a coin should I or shouldn't I get this thing, I Finally decided to get one! I heard about some girls rave about how clarisonic can cleared up their skin from build up make up that cause clogged pores, blackheads and make their pores appear smaller...BUT, what Interested the most is, some girls on you tube said that Clarisonic is the fun way to wash your face...Well, I need a fun way, the reason I want to wash my face, because  I'm one of the girls who get lazy to clean up my make up at night (Yes, its nasty...sometimes I sleep with my make up on :( ).

So, what is Clarisonic?? It's basically what I like to call a "Toothbrush for your face" :). Yes it does the same thing like your electric toothbrush do, but this one for your face...for more info go to: www.clarisonic.com

I got mine yesterday from Skinterra why? because they ship worlwide...and they also have a 15%-20% off for any Clarisonics type. I got my Clarisonic Mia on skinterra for ONLY US$119 (they retail for $149) and I also get the Delicate brush head for US$20 (retail for $25).

So instead of spending $174 + $26.75 (International Shipping) = US$200,75. I ONLY spent US$166,75 for the whole things!!. It's a Very good deal...Me Super Happy!! :D. I can not wait till it get heree...7-10 business days, wheww!

Just type their coupon code "NOV20" and you get an Instant 20% off!! but gotta hurry...it only until at the end of the month.

Love,
Kiki ;)

The Battle of Make up Foundations...

This probably my biggest 'drama' lately...All these times I've been always in search of the perfect foundations for my type of skin (acne-prone, and sensitive type of skin). If you're a working woman, you know how hard it is to find the perfect make-up foundation that stays for 9hrs or more!

I've tried sooo many different products over the years and still haven't found the one that I actually fell in love with!...seriously, I am more cautious about finding the perfect make-up foundation than a perfect boyfriend...lol ;D

Anyhow, thanks to 'Youtube' make-up girls whose giving me some insight on few different products, I might going to try some of them..

1. Calvin Klein Infinite Matte-Oil free

I heard about this product from the magazine, and when I watched some videos on Youtube, some girls swore by this product! and this one retails for around US$32 or Rp. 320,000,-.

2. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place SPF 10

I've tried this foundation long time ago when I was in my last year of college. This one actually WORKED for my type of skin! it really gives me the perfect cover just what I needed, I can wear it 'light' or 'fully makeup'. It lasts for quite sometimes too. This one retails for US$34 (on their website) but they sell it for Rp. 400,000,- (around US$40) in Indonesia counter for some reasons (tax, and all that).

3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-place SPF 10

This one right here is recommended by one of my girl, she tried this product for sometimes and swore by it!. this one is the same "Estee Lauder Double Wear" as the one at the above, but this is the 'lighter' version...meaning, this goes natural for everyday using when you feel like not putting so much make-up on.
This one retails for US$33,50 (on the website) and Rp. 350,000,- (or US$34) in Indonesia counter.

4. Make Up Forever HD Foundation

I've tried MUFE (Make Up Forever) products before (Compact powder, blush on, etc) but I hate 'em all. The compact powder was too cakey, I can feel my skin 'screaaming' can't breath. But reading the review of this product, I might gonna re-consider about buying :). This one retail for US$40 on the website or Rp. 400,000,- (I haven't sure how much this on the counter here)

5. Chanel Mat Lumiere
The thing about Chanel makeup products, I once used their compact powder and it was great, I'm loving their matte lipstick, and eyeshadows. Never tried this one before, but watching this one girl on you tube that crazy about this product. I don't know how much the exact price for this one, I heard it's about US$50 or sumtin. This Probably a good product to try too, considering the 'matte' result.

There are my TOP 5 foundation that I would like to try, I haven't decided which one, right now I'm still using my Laura Mercier tinted mosturizer, and It didn't cover my face too well...It's good for daily make-up but for work, I need better coverage and something matte and less touch up...hehehe

Pre-Fall Nails...

Today I'm taking a whole day off from work to pamper myself...I was planning on getting a hot stone massage, but then I got up at 8 and watching Anderson Cooper 360 (I LOVE his show...I adored him, hehe) 'till 10am and decided to cleaning up my room until 12...and there goes my hot stone massage appointment...

So then I was thinking to do some grocery shopping, and stuffs...but then I ended at nails salon (O.P.I House), I was about to change my nail polishes only (since I just had my spas last week), but then the girl at the nail salon said "why not doing the mani-pedi spa before the holiday?"...(I was always an easy mark/ people pleaser) so I was like "...ummm yeah let's do this"...and there goes my un-planned mani-pedi spa (with the costs of full body hot stone massage!! that wud be around U$70) *next time I should come on Mon or Thurs when they have 25% off!*

So...yeah, apart from that, I'm loving my hands 'n toes colors! this time I chose different colors, since I cannot decided which colors to choose from, so I picked both for my hands and toes...(what an explanations!! haaha!)

1. O.P.I "Glitzerland" (the Swiss Collection)
- I've been into metallics for nail colors lately...it's pre-fall, and O.P.I just launched their newest Collection (the Swiss Collection)...I'm loving all of 'em but I'm loving the color "Glitzerland" at the first try...It's gold-ish and metallic! I feel like a million dollar...hahaaa

2. O.P.I "Radiance" (the Designer Series)
- This color is dope! It's metallic silver color...and not like any other 'Silver'-ish color that looked like they were more 'grey'-ish than silver, this one is screaming 'SILVER' to the next level...(I'm kinda addicted to nail polishes, teehehe :p). So, yeah at first I wanna do the 'matchy-matchy' hands and toes nail colors, but I wanna do it differently, so this one goes for my toes,,,and it looked flashy!! especially when I'm wearing cute flip flops or open toe shoes...wud be dashing!! (owkieeee...I'm talking too much!)

That was it...my nails are gold and my toes are silver...one of my girlfriend's already calling me "a walking christmas tree"...but hey, at least I have my spirit with me and felt like a million bucks!! woohooooo...

Kiki ;p

July-August Favorites...

These are some stuffs that's I've been using, and enjoying using, or watching, or listen to for the last 2 months...since this is my first 'favorites' blog...I'm gonna spill everything in one blog...so here they are...

1. L.A.M.B tote bag

My sister in-law got me this bag as a present when she went on a holiday to HK, when I got this bag I can't help it...I fell in love! I love the abstract mash-up colors and the hugeeee size of it makes me wanted to put all my stuffs in it, haha...(thankie mommy aurel! :D)

2. OPI Nail Lacquer: "Miami Beet"

Summer nails are all about 'popping' colors...like Fuchsia, Blue, Yellow, or anything brights. I was wearing green nails on the summer, but this month I'm all about anything 'Darker'...I've been loving purple and pinks all seasons, and I love this "Miami Beet" color from O.P.I that has hint of both colors mixed together, It's not like deep purple but it also has the pink that makes it pop! LOVE IT! :D.

3. Philosophy: Jump Starters

Seriously though, I have a very sensitive (read: Allergic)-oily type of skin...which is painfully harrdd to find the perfect skin products. I heard about 'Philosophy' like 2 years ago when I'm watching Oprah, and she was telling the audience how much she loveeeeed the "Hope in a Jar" moisturizer and named it "One of the best"...so when I was browsing about this items, I said to myself "Why not?? Let's give it a try...Oprah can not be lying about it.." (hahaha...I love her!!!). So I decided to bought the 'Jump Starters' package instead buying separately. And by the second day I use 'em I can already feel the difference!!! Seriously!! I ADORE THEM!!!! and their "Purity face wash" is TO DIE!!! hahahha...I'm tooooo excited it works ;D.

3. Laura Mercier: Tinted Moisturizer spf 20 (oil-free) and Laura Mercier: Foundation Primer (oil-free)

Next ones are what I'd like to call my "Armors" (in Make-up)...if SWAT guys on the movie have their bulletproof vest to cover up their chests, I have these babies to cover up my face! hahaha...I'm not a big fan of 'cakey' make-up for daily use, I always tried to wear my make-up light but still covering my flaws (such as; redness, and blemishes). I've been using M.A.C for years and stil loving it, but I love these LM Tinted Moisturizer 'n Foundation Primer because they can cover my face light but also perfecting my complexion....I can see myself using these babies for a long time hehe :D.

4. Twins Custom-made Pink Thai Boxing Gloves

Hands DOWN!!! I'm LOVING my Pink Boxing Gloves...It's Shocking Pink and It's boxing gloves...lol. I love Boxing for once, and I've been having problems on finding my gloves in ink. So I custom made it and order online...How HOTT is THAT!! lol ;D.

5. The Face Shop: Fake Eyelashes 'XO'

I know some of you HATE fake-eyelashes...but lately I've been kinda flirty and wanting to spice up my make-up look with fake lashes! I learn to apply 'em from YouTube and just naturally learn to adjust it myself...(I'm a fast learner when it comes to things I lovee, haha :p). I use 'em for special times only or whenever I feel a bit flirty and feel to look dapper for work...again, it's fun being a girl! teehehe ;D.

So, That was all...My favorites for the month of July-August...I'd be blogging about my Favorites musics and movies that are worth watching later...I'm sorry if the pictures are blurry or not too focus, I'm taking the pictures from my Blackberry because I haven't got my card reader for my Macbook Air and been thinking of buying a new camera (my old ones are only 7,1MP, so I need a new one)...hehehe.

Color me O.P.I

Lately (for the last 2 mths) I've been checking O.P.I website back and forth and ogling for their collections!! (BIG TIME!). Well, yes...O.P.I were sold in most of Department stores in Jakarta...but one thing that makes me gag, the price has been doubled up and it's ridiculous!! Even when I get the bargain price in amazon, they didn't ship to Indonesia (double suck!).

Then just minutes ago, when I was browsing 'bout healthy food & diet on "Good Housekeeping", it took me by surprise, there sits pretty, on their sponsored links...Shipping Worldwide IS the KEY!! haha

and here's their cute site...not only O.P.I,they also have China Glaze, Essie, and Orly too!! wow...wow!!! and the price...is seriously cheap!! *Immahappyladyyy* ;D

And I have placed my order of O.P.I Nail Envy: Soft & Thin ($10.99)-here they sold for Rp. 350 rb ($35) a piece!!! and Top Coat ($6.99) -here they sold for Rp. 180 rb ($ 18) a piece!!!...with only $ 9 shipping and a normal 14 business days of shipping...I AM PROUD!! ha ha ;D

*smooch
