Saturday Nite Movie: "Loving Leah" (2009)

I actually watched this movie once on Hallmark, and It's kinda sweet movie. It's basically a romantic movie about Jake Lever, a cardiologist and an unobservant Jewish bachelor who feels compelled to marry his observant rabbi brother's widow, Leah to honor him via the ancient Jewish custom of yibbum (levirate marriage).

Jake and Leah agree, but Jake doesn't want to go through with it after seeing a necklace his brother gave him (before he left home to become a rabbi) reminds him of how much he idolized his big brother. He pulls Leah aside and tells her that he doesn't want to deny his brother's existence. After deciding that she also wants to leave her mother's home, become independent, and start college, Leah agrees to move with him to Washington. Things are rocky as Jake is constantly busy with work at the hospital, his girlfriend Carol has little patience for his new "wife", and Leah adjusts to finding her way around a new city. But eventually, true love persists, and the two find that the greatest gift Benjamin has left them is each other.

All over, this movie is cute...it's basically about two opposite attracts, and it can be happens anytime...while some of us still waiting for our "opposites"...let's just enjoy the movie, teehehe ;P

Love and Letting go...

The last few days I've been trying to get myself together...it's personal thing, and I'm not gonna spoil every little details here since I made promise to myself to really 'close old dusty the book' and move on...

The thing is, I'm still thinking it was only a bad dream (just like any other dream)...I never really moved on, and it's been more than a month...I hate the feeling of losing, he's like my best friend, we talked and laugh about stupid videos on youtube, and I hate to think the idea of me without him...what should I do, where would I go, should I wait for him to comeback, should I call him? and all the things I could ever think about to make things better...

It hurts sooo bad, since I barely remember how it feel to get my heart broken...my world is totally upside-down, whenever I listened to my iPod and the songs he gave me come up, It stings, I cried...I removed all of his pics in my phone, and his texts...anything...but it still hurt, it sucks *sigh* :(

Than I started to read about some break-up quotes online, or in twitter...and realized that I'm not alone, I am not the only one dealing with the heartbreaks...I try to give my poor heart a little room to breath, and try to learn about myself all over again...I don't hate what he's doing to me, he was important to me once and now that he's gone all I can do is pray and forgive...

it sounds very cliche, but in the end I need to let go, and move on with life...if we dare to be in love, we should be ready to get our heartbroken...I still miss him sometimes, but I still wish him to be happy in life...

See you later :)

Kindle DX...My Wettest Dream!

When I see this cute baby Amazon Kindle on Oprah for the first time (in 2009), I was soooo amazed!! what a clever idea to put all of our favorite books in one machine (this sleek 'n light 10,2 ounces e-book could holds up to 1,500 book!!)...but then I forgot, until 4 months ago, when I bought myself a copy of "Dear John"s book on Amazon, I saw this thing again...and this time I WANT IT more than anything!! I watched the demonstration video, and I DIE wanting this! (If only they compatible to use in Indonesia *sigh*)

Kindle Features

Advanced Design

Sleek & Light

At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you'll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands.

Simple to Use, No Computer Required

Unlike most electronic devices, we wanted to keep Kindle simple. Kindle is wireless and ready to use right out of the box–no setup, no cables, no software to install, no computer required.

Ergonomic Design

Kindle is easy to hold and read. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle's page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position.

Precise 5-Way Controller

Kindle has an easy-to-use 5-way controller, enabling precise on-screen navigation for selecting text to highlight or looking up words.

Long Battery Life

Long Battery Life—Read for Days Without Recharging

With Kindle's long battery life, you can read on a single charge for up to 1 week with wireless on. Turn wireless off and read for up to 2 weeks.
